Abstract

The review deals with blends of biopolymers and plastics and their biodegradability in environment. Starch and waste proteins are most frequently used as biodegradable materials, while polyolefins and poly(vinyl alcohol) serve as plastics. The use of these blends is an important way of the preparation of environmental-friendly materials.
